Invitation to YCCECE Info Day 2020 

2020/21 intake is now open for applications 

Warm greetings from Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education (YCCECE)! YCCECE is now inviting applications for the Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Early Childhood Education, Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Diploma in Early Childhood Studies programmes. To facilitate students in planning ahead for their future study pathway, we would like to invite school principals, career masters, students and their parents to join the Info Day on 28 November 2020 (Sat), which will provide good opportunities for participants to learn more about the latest development of Early Childhood Education in Hong Kong, the admission requirements, college life of YCCECE as well as to take a tour of our College.

Activities include: 

  1. Admission Talk: Hok Yau Club: Non-JUPAS choices for further study and YCCECE: Shall We Share? The latest ECE market trend and college life 
    Mr. Clement Ng Po Shing, Student Guidance Consultant, Hok Yau Club will analyze the recent further study trends of local students with statistics and provide tips to students on making their programme choices among self-financing institutions.  
     Professor Allan Yuen, President of YCCECE together with our graduates and students will share in an interactive format addressing frequently asked questions about the requirements of being a qualified kindergarten teacher in Hong Kong, the latest market trends, the learning experience and campus life at the College. 
     
  2. ECE experiential activities at our signature facility – the ‘Pamela Peck Discovery Space’ 
    To enable participants to gain hands-on experience of being a kindergarten teacher and understand the must-know concept of ‘Play-based Learning’, ECE-themed experiential activities will be available at our signature facility – the ‘Pamela Peck Discovery Space’ which is Hong Kong’s first exploratory learning-through-play space designed for children 0-8 years old.  Participants will also get a chance to engage with our centre teachers who are former kindergarten principals and teachers to receive advice from their first-hand perspective. 
     
  3. Apply and interview onsite to waive a $300 application fee 
    Prospective students are welcome to submit an application and attend the interview onsite. A $300 application fee will be waived and an offer will be issued on the spot after the interview.
