Grade 9 – 12 Guidance Counsellor
Shelagh Hockley was born in Montreal, Quebec and grew up in Hong Kong, Singapore, and the United States before returning to Toronto. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto, her Masters of Education at Niagara University (New York), and holds specialist qualifications in Guidance from Western University. Shelagh spent most of her career in the classroom, teaching History and Psychology before becoming a school counsellor. She has worked in high schools in Ontario and Saskatchewan and most recently was a counsellor at American School Hong Kong. Outside of teaching, Shelagh enjoys good books, fun travels, new restaurants, and yoga.
